Wedding Blogs & Resources

OnceWed.com
Stumbled upon this site as I was looking for dress pegs.  The site houses a whole catalog of used wedding dresses (vintage to modern) from which you can take inspiration.  And a whole lot of entries on inspirational real weddings.

Snippet And Ink
Daily wedding inspiration.  There are hundreds of inspiration boards categorized per theme and color palette.  Super duper useful.  These link as well to the specific vendors (they're all in the US but you can always find a local supplier who could approximate it).

Something Old, Something New
A lovely, lovely blog about all the elements you'll need (or needlessly want) for your wedding.  From updates on bridal and bridesmaid styles, to printed shoes, to trinkets for your giveaways.  Very easy to navigate and with categorized tags.

100 Layer Cake
A new find!  They have DIY pages and photos from beautiful real weddings.  Lovely lovely.

Etsy Handmades
Your place to buy and sell everything handmade.  Inspirational for those who want to DIY.

This is Glamorous
Not so much a wedding blog, but a nice resource for trends and ideas (fashion, home, etc.)

Paperie & Photoshop

Hello Lucky Wedding Invitations
A pretty gallery of letterpress and digital invitations.  Cute designs and themes.  Inspirational combinations.

Peculiar Pair Press
Specializing in letter press.  Lovely and quaint.  Like nicely iced cupcakes.

Mr. Boddington's Studio
Where invitations are almost couture.  From the simple to the utterly luxurious.  I want.  I so want.

Good Tutorials.com
For those who wish to DIY their invitation designs or anything to be printed, this is my favorite resource for post-processing tutorials.  If you are using Freehand, they have a whole database of tutorials for you as well.

FBrushes.com and AbstractFonts.com
A brilliant library of freebies!  I go on downloading sprees when I'm stressed.  I think I now have 900 fonts in my computer haha.  And my Photoshop is brimming with brush extensions.  Aylavet.

Colour Lover, Palette Generator and Patterns as idea sources.
When at a loss at what color motif or theme to pick (as if the world wasn't confusing enough), there are some tools that may evoke that little "aha! this is it" moment.  I love the Palette Generator - extremely useful if you have a design or photo that you absolutely love and want to expand to other color combinations.  Have fun!

Photographs

Edward Olive
I got to know this brilliant photographer through Flickr.  He's a genius.  His treatment and framing of every photo one of a kind.  Sometimes awkward, and yet special.  Very real.  Very in-the-moment.  His photos make my heart skip and my jaw drop.  He's our ultimate peg for our wedding photos.  Too bad he's based in Spain.

Our Labor of Love.
Their style is so creative and unique.  The emotions are so raw and perfectly captured.  I'll show their portfolio as well when I brief our chosen photographer.  Too bad they're based in the US.
