Beyond recycled, these are up-cycled. Because more than just restoring, they're adding a touch of cuteness and character. I'd love to have one of these. Matched with a nice cropped jacket, wide-leg jeans, round-toe pumps, and maybe red lipstick (if it actually suited me).
These lovely bags are available at Get Ready, Set, Go c/o Etsy.com.
I've been wanting to get myself a Moleskine. But I always thought it was too expensive for a notebook. I mean, it's beautiful and everything but I may just end up not writing on it. Last Monday, Chips surprised me with a little gift - a pocket sized Moleskine! Wee!!! I love it. I love him. He just knows how to surprise me.
I'm one who is just in LOVE with notebooks and journals - basically anything that has to do with paper. I'm sitting on my office desk and I have seven notebooks in front of me. Two of which are already full, but I still keep them because I like seeing them and their worn pages. One currently being used for work notes. And another one being used for wedding notes. I've got one I started using but stopped at the first pages, because I realized that the paper was too pretty (so I decided to use the not so nice notebooks first). I've got another that's been there for like 3 years. It's a spiral notebook and the pages have turned a beautiful old cream hue. I'm finding it pretty hard to start writing on it.
A few Christmases (or was it our Anniversary?) back, Chips got me a gorgeous journal. It was made of plain paper and hand bound. The front and back covers are made of intricately carved wood. I honestly do not know what to write in it. I like smelling the paper (I also have this thing about the scent of old books. I like running my hand across the pristine leaves. I have a fear that when I start writing, I'd make a mistake and ruin it. I still don't know when I'd finally get to inking those unruffled pages.
I told him that I'll make the Moleskine my new travel-slash-poetry notebook. Maybe I'll start on it when we travel after the wedding. New notebook, new adventure. I'm excited. I think it will be a very inspired little notebook.
Homaygad. I'm palpitating. I oh-so want these shoes. They're from Nine West. and they're called the "Jack Peep Toe pumps". To very kind, generous souls, I'm a size 7 (tee hee). Wiggle in place. Aww man, I don't think they're for sale here yet. I can't wait. OH LORD. I can already imagine all the outfits this pair could potentially sexify. Oh, man. I do hope the shoes I wear for my wedding are this hot. Yes, I will take a 4-inch heel. Pain is bearable, as long as it makes me pretty. Haha.
